Dean's Quarters
Dean's Quarters
Dean's Quarters at El Paso High. The photo displays a portion of an apartment on the first floor. The apartment was built as part of the Homemaking Department. For several years leading into the Great Depression the apartment was the residence of the Dean of Students at the high school and was and continues to be used for classes regarding home furnishing, design, and housekeeping. The photo reveals an orginal parkay floor, original paneling and molding, a built-in china cabinet, and dining room furniture typical of the 1920s and 30s.
