Bataan Death March
The Bataan Memorial Death March is held every year to honor the survivors of the treacherous trek up the Bataan, Philippines Peninsula in 1942. Without food, water, or medicine, 1,800 New Mexicans were forced to march 60 miles to Japanese prison camps.
