R Salazar apt on Eucalyptus at Cypress
R Salazar apt on Eucalyptus at Cypress. This mural is titled “Jesus Looking at El Paso,” and was made in 1986 by Gaspar Enriquez. As there were “no trespassing” signs at the Eucalyptus entrance to this apartment complex, and I wanted a picture of the large wall painting of journalist Ruben Salazar (killed in a 1970 anti-Vietnam War riot in Los Angeles), I took that picture by poking my lens against a mesh fence along the Paisano overpass. Salazar is also depicted on a freeway stanchion in Lincoln Park. See the “Parks” folder. He is on “Lincoln Park 11 5-12-09.”)
