Every October, the streets of Downtown El Paso become canvasses for artists to display their chalk masterpieces at Chalk the Block. Chalk art, installations as well as activities at the Museums of Art and History will be featured. The event draws in about 40,000 people each year and brings in about $1 million to the local economy.
