Statue "The Cavalryman"
The statue "The Cavalryman" is standing across Santa Fe Street from the Scottish Rite Temple. It was made by José Ruiz De Riviera (1904-1985) and unveiled in 1940. It is said to be the oldest free-standing sculpture in El Paso. It is 8'-3" tall and the base is a 10-ton solid block of black granite.
