WWII Veterans James J Carter II

History of blacks who served in World War 2 still living in El Paso Texas. Mr. Carter was a Sgt promoted during the war but on return to US after the war he had to be demoted because of fear of being black and outranking white NCO . He later re-earned his rank and retired as a Master Sergeant.
