Vietnam Exhibit Opening - 2016
August 6, 2016 - Museum Exhibit Ribbon Cutting: "Welcome Home El Paso Vietnam Veterans: A Tribute and Recognition to our Vietnam Veterans of War" City Rep. Acosta, Dist. 3 and Ms. Patti Olivas, the originators of this event, created a Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Event Committee. The committee is comprised with over 15 veterans and civic community organizations, government entities, citizens and businesses. In 2015, El Paso's Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Event was designated as a partner of the Department of Defense 50th Vietnam War Commemoration and recognizes its partnership with the City of El Paso -- Office of City Rep. Emma Acosta, Dist. 3 as an official Commemorative Partner.
