Mission Early College High School

In August 2005, Socorro Independent School District and the El Paso Community College jointly created Mission Early College High School (MECHS). This unique school is founded on the belief that many young people are ready and eager to do serious college work. It enables highly motivated students to move in four years from the ninth grade through the first two years of college, earning the associate of arts (A.A.) degree. Students from many different backgrounds who have a strong record of excellence and diverse interests will benefit from MECHS curriculum. Students will become equipped with the analytical skills needed to pursue their passions.
