Sgt. Roberto Ituarte
Sgt Robert Ituarte was a U.S. Marine who joined the service in 1958 at the age of 17. He re-enlisted in 1962. He was stationed in Kaneohe Marine Base with "A" Co., 1st Bn., 4th Marines and then landed in Chu Lai, Vietnam on May 7, 1965, at which time he served with "E" Co., 2nd Bn., 7th Marines. While participating in "Operation Harvest Moon," Sgt. Ituarte was killed-in-action on December 11, 1965, at the age of 24. His unit greatly mourned his loss.
