Early mounted El Paso officers posed for this photo in the 300 block of S. Santa Fe St. around 1901. The building with the bell tower in the background is the new City Hall that housed the Police & Volunteer Fire Departments on the ground level and the City offices and corporation court of the second floor. Officers on the photo who have been identified are, left to right: #3 George Herold, # 7 W. D. Greet, #8 Jim Dwyer, #9. Will TenEyck and #11 Joe Spivey.
