Ice Installation by Jyoti Duwadi
This large ice installation was created outside the Museum of Art by the Nepalese-born American artist Jyoti Duwadi. The reason was the opening reception for the Museum's contemporary exhibition "Vanishing Ice: Alpine and Polar Landscapes in Art 1775-2012". Duwadi’s melting work references the beauty, grandeur, and fragility of ice in this contemporary age of unprecedented global warming.
