RIP Rod, you were the best of the best. I listened to you for the first time when I was stationed at Ft. Bliss , TX in 1968 . The only reason we went to the NCO club there was to listen to Rod Crosby * the Intruders. After I left El Paso in 1970 I lost touch with your music until one day years later (2021) I started wondering if you were still around. I got in touch with you though email & we communicated with a number of emails. that year (2021) then in November of 2021 you emailed me saying that you were going to give me a gift of 6 songs that you sent me via email . I put them in a CD & play them all the time in the car. I was shocked & completely heart broken when I heard of you passing. I know he loved Patty very much & I am so sorry for your loss Patty. Now Rod is up in Heaven playing , Finally , with Bobby Fuller & Buddy Holly !!!! RIP Rod .
I was saddened by the death of Rod Crosby. I went to school with him at Austin High School in 1963. My friends and I would go to the Turf Club in the Northgate shopping center to hear him play. What great memories. I lost my husband, Tom Lichlyter in Nov. 2021 and he knew Rod from Austin High School. They both passed at the age of 76. I wish they could have lived to at least 80. May they Rest In Peace.?
I just saw that Rod had passed away. Someone so special will not be forgotten. I met Rod Many years ago (1966-1968) when I was stationed at Ft. Bliss TX & saw him many times at the NCO club playing with the Intruders. after many years of not seeing him I decided to look him up about 2 years ago & we started to communicate via emails.I am heart broken beyond words that he has passed away..
They played many times at Ft Bliss , Texas back in the 1960's when I was in the Army----LOVED THEM !!!!
Are you and the band still playing and at special occasions? Like a high school reunion ?
