MOUNT FRANKLIN STATE PARK
A SIENIC VIEW OF MT. FRANKLIN STATE PARK. THE OLD BUILDINGS WERE BUILT IN 1909 AS THE EL PASO TIN MINING & SMELTER CO. THAT WENT OUT OF BUSINESS IN 1915. SINCE THEN THE BUILDINGS WERE USED AS A BABY SANITORIUM IN THE HOT SUMMER IN THE DAYS BEFORE AIR CONDITIONING. THEY WERE ALSO USED BY THE COLLEGE OF MINES ENGEERING & GEOLOGY STUDENTS AS A MEETING PLACE FOR THE ANNUAL ST. PATRICK'S DAY CELEBARATION .
