Debbie Reynolds and Rick Kern
Photo: Rick Kern and Debbie Reynolds "This was Debbie at the Plaza Classic Film Festival in 2010. We spoke about the first time I met her in Las Vegas (1993) at her hotel - the Debbie Reynolds Hotel. I asked her when was she going to come back to El Paso and she said she no longer had an attachment here since her only living uncle who was living in El Paso had died". She was born Mary Frances Reynolds in El Paso. Her father was a filling station attendant during the Great Depression. The family lived on Magnolia St. in central El Paso for a time, but the economy forced them to move around the city to live with other relatives. Her father held odd jobs in El Paso before finally finding steady work in Burbank, Calif., in 1939. http://www.elpasotimes.com/ci_22912847/el-paso-native-debbie-reynolds-turns-81 Rick Kern is a Producer/Drummer in El Paso, Texas.
