Allen Mills
Allen Mills was born Edgar Allen Mills on Jan. 28, 1844 in Thornton, Indiana. His brother, Anson Mills, was one of the founding members of El Paso and actually named the city El Paso. During the civil war, Allen Mills was a private assigned to G Company, 55th Indiana Infantry until 1862. Mills died on Sep. 28, 1924 and is buried in Thornton, Indiana. Image Description: Image shows portrait photograph of Allen Mills. Mills wears a light grey colored coat with a light-colored vest, a white shirt, and a small black ribbon tie at his neck. He appears to be sitting down in a chair as the design of the backrest can be seen beside his shoulders. Mills looks directly at the camera, but his body is slightly shifted to the side. He appears to have a mustache, not to thick and his hair is short in length, dark and with a bit of a receding hairline.
