Bell Boys of Hilton Hotel
Bell Boys of Hilton Hotel
The photograph shows the bell boys at the Hilton Hotel in downtown El Paso Texas in 1930, the year it was opened. Designed by Henry C. Trost, the Hotel was one of the most luxurious and most modern hotels in town: All rooms featured fully electric lighting, ceiling fans, radios and private bathrooms. The design of the Hotel combined semi-modernist lines with Indian elements. In 1963 the Hilton was sold and operated as the Plaza Hotel until 1990, when it was closed.
