During the Summer months of 2019, EPMA showcased Sala de Arte an international community art space, which offered drop-in visitors a place to spark their curiosity, share stories, and create. Hosting two local artists-in-residence, Marco Sanchez and Laura Turon, Sala de Arte community studio demonstrated artists’ personal processes and provided free printmaking and drawing workshops. Furthermore, contemporary art installations by internationally-renowned artists explored different perspectives of home, family, culture and traditions through art in a Sala that enticed visitors to share their own perspectives.
