The Kress Collection gifted to the City of El Paso by the Kress Foundation in 1959 served as the founding collection of the El Paso Museum of Art. Famous artists from the collection include: Botticelli, Canaletto, Van Dyck, Zurbarán, and Artemisia Gentileschi, among other Gothic, Baroque, and Renaissance masters.
