Socorro High School, Socorro, Texas

Socorro High School, opened in fall of 1965 with A. D. Weir being named as SHS's first principal. Columbia blue, red, and white were chosen as the official school colors and the bulldog was adopted as the school mascot. A family who lived in the area donated their bulldog “Homer” to the school to be used at special functions.

Hueco Elementary School

Hueco Elementary opened its doors during the 1983-1984 school year. It was initially a K-8 school. The first administrators were Robert Martinez, principal and Armando Bustamante, assistant principal. The campus celebrated its 30th anniversary in January 2014. Salvador H. Sanchez Middle School - El Paso, Texas

Home of the Warriors, Salvador H. Sanchez Middle School, opened its doors in August 1990. It is one of two middle schools opened that year by Socorro ISD and was the first middle school in El Paso County, Texas to be accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. The school serves students in grades 6 through 8. It was named in honor of Salvador H. Sanchez, a longtime advocate of quality education in Socorro ISD, and a former member of the board of trustees. H.D. Hilley Elementary School

H.D. Hilley was established in 1980. Our campus was named H.D. Hilley in honor of Harvey Dixon Hilley, a dedicated leader in the Socorro Independent School District and a district president for 20 years. The school colors are blue and red. Escontrias Elementary School

Escontrias opened it's doors in 1924 as the first school in the new Socorro Independent School District. The Bull Pups have been howling with success ever since! Robert R. Rojas Elementary School

Robert R. Rojas Elementary School is named after former trustee, Mr. Robert R. Rojas. He joined the SISD Board as a trustee in 1968. During his early years, he worked diligently to establish a bilingual program to ensure Spanish speaking children could learn English. Aside from promoting equity in students' educational experiences, he also focused on providing quality facilities and better salaries for teachers. The school celebrated its 25th anniversary on September 26, 2012. Ernesto Serna School El Paso Texas

The school was named after a member of the community who nobly carried out his duty as servant and protector, but who subsequently lost his life in the process. On November 12, 1991, Officer Ernesto Serna of the El Paso Police Department was shot and killed as he tried to detain a shoplifter at a local department store. Part of the mission at Ernesto Serna School is to instill in students the same hope, pride, and dignity that Officer Serna displayed as he gave the ultimate sacrifice for El Paso - his life.
