Texas Western College Becomes 'Legal Entity" - 1960 -1969
Campus limits defined - this aerial photograph of the Texas Western College campus defines the approximate boundaries of the institution following completion of a land acquisition program.
This old two-story house was turned into the church office holds many fond memories for those who worked in the house. Jazz Johnson, as church secretary, and Gilbert Johnson, as accounting manager, were upstairs and they kept track of everything that happened at the church. This would be torn down to provide more space for parking and the new religious educational building.

One of the marvels of this high - rise was that it was built right over the area where the tracks had been depressed. The trains were now running beneath the building.
On July 3, 2003, the Resler Drive extension opened with fanfare, dedications and a ribbon cutting.All of the Resler family had been in town for the dedication. Mainly because Nona Resler wife of Dale Resler at the age of 102 was just buried.
Jack, Nona, Daurice, and Dale Resler - 1964
Uncle Paul Dyal, who had Dyal Travel Service by then, arranged a relaxing cruise to the West Indies for Jack and Daurice Vowell with Dale and Nona Resler. Jack and Dale were friends from working together with the Chamber of Commerce, the Highway Commission, and the Boy Scouts. Jack was chairman of the Boy Scout Camp Committee when Camp Dale Resler was built.
