Me and the White House Department Store

This is a picture of me standing in front of the building that once contained the White House Department Store. I've lived in El Paso, Texas my whole life and have gained a great admiration for this historic city as I've grown up in it. This building behind me is about a hundred years old, for an example of how far back this city goes, though that's just the tip of the iceberg, really. Yes, I'm sort of a history kind of guy.

This department store has been around for over 100 years in one form or another. It was founded by a French immigrant to Juarez, Mexico, then proceeded to expand into El Paso as the city experienced massive growth due to the expansion of the railroad network into the area.
