The Remount Polo Team consisted of, from left to right, Featherstone, Clark, Reynolds, and Speed.
Freebooters Team, Ft. Bliss
The Freebooters Polo Team consisted of Speed, Reynolds, Featherstone, and Van Ingen [sic].
8th Cavalry Team, Ft. Bliss
The 8th Cavalry Polo Team included, from left to right, Kloeffler [sic], VanOchs, Jones, and Lacey.
7th Cavalry, 2nd Team, Ft. Bliss
The 7th Cavalry had two polo teams. This one included Short, Rothermund, Besse, and Van Ingen.
7th Cavalry, 1st Team, Ft. Bliss
The 7th Cavalry had two polo teams. This one consisted of, from left to right, Craig [sic], Gay, Cunningham, and Wood.
H.E. Featherstone on Bangtail, Ft. Bliss
Featherstone played on both the Freebooters and Remount Polo Teams at Ft. Bliss.
Capt. Clark, Ft. Bliss - El Paso, Texas
Capt. Clark played on the Remount Polo Team at Ft. Bliss. A note under the his photo in Featherstone's album indicates that he was "Air Service," not Cavalry.
Reynolds, Ft. Bliss
Reynolds played on both the Freebooters and Remount Polo Teams at Ft. Bliss.
Polo at Ft. Bliss
As a Lieutenant, Lt. Col. Featherstone both played polo and was district polo officer, in charge of arranging matches for the Ft. Bliss polo teams.
In the early 1920's, there were at least four polo teams playing on Post.
Polo at Ft. Bliss attracted spectators from El Paso. Seating was on one's own, and automobiles served as grandstands.

The open sided shed in the center back is for the spare horses.
The spare horses are visible in the background, as well as the line of spectators in their automobiles.
