nducted in 2018 First Medical Doctor to be inducted into the El Paso Baseball Hall of Fame Relentless in his support of youth baseball in El Paso for over 40 years Coached youth baseball every year while in high school and college Coached Mantle Baseball level in NY during his MD residency For the past 20 years he has sponsored, managed, coached and financed Select Baseball Teams from El Paso competing throughout Texas, Arizona, New Mexico and Colorado Won prestigious Dallas State Tournament with team coached by Rick Miller and El Paso Baseball Hall of Fame Honoree Larry Vucan Chosen to participate in Major League Scouting Bureau Scout School Only non-MLB baseball staffer in his Class to graduate from MLB’s 15 day Scout School in Arizona Scouted for the Minnesota Twins for 5 years Current Certified MLB Scout for the Miami Marlins Founded El Paso Border Youth Athletic Association Initiated BASE PLAY with Clint Independent School District with a mission to promote the game of baseball for boys and girls providing equipment, t-shirts, pants, gloves, shoes, umpire and coaching stipends and training Participants must have teachers report they are earning passing grades every three weeks They are bussed home from practice, receive hot meals, academic awards and tournament trophies Roberto Clemente Foundation has provided a Grant for this outstanding program Major League Baseball has incorporated BASE PLAY into their RBI program HBO spent 3 weeks producing a documentary to air in 2018 Fabens, Canutillo and Gasden school districts are pursuing opportunities with the BASE PLAY program based on current results in Clint Honored by Project Amistad as their 2018 Person of the Year for his endeavors in youth baseball
