Received the Texas DPS Directors Award Received the Dallas Sheriff Department Medal of Valor and Life Saving Award All Star player in Boys Baseball League playing for Cooley School under Coach John Woo All District Player for Jefferson High School (1975-1979) playing for El Paso Baseball Hall of Fame Honoree Coach Al Silva All Star player in the Lower Valley League with San Elizario and Fabens Accepted full scholarship to play at Ranger Jr. College playing for Texas Hall of Fame Coach Jack Allen Winning pitcher in 1978 NJCAA National Championship Game Finished 1978 with a 10-1 record and 2.25 ERA Represented by a trusted friend and mentor El Paso Baseball Hall of Fame Honoree Andy Cohen and signed a professional baseball contract with the Texas Rangers Assigned to the Sarasota Rangers of the Gulf Coast League and had a 5-0 pitching record with a 2.00 ERA Signed a professional contract to play 1st and 3rd Base for the Triple A Mexican League Juarez Indios in 1981 Played in the Dallas Amateur Baseball Association with the Dallas DalRich Rebels (1982-1992) Member of the 1988 Texas State Championship AABC Stan Musial squad Played for the Dallas Dodgers (1992-1995) earning All Star and MVP honors Coached the Sunnyvale Indians a Select Baseball team in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area (1995-2002) Vice President of the Mesquite Baseball League (1997-2001) He has enjoyed the unconditional love and support from his wife Maria Elena; daughters Angela and Annabelle; Son Anthony; Grandchildren Ysabelle, Maximo, Giselle, Lucca and Olivia (due December 2018); Mother Delia; Father Alejo; Sisters Rosalie, Emily, Amy, Yvonne and Yvette and Brothers Joe, Arnold, Danny
