Douglass High School - Mayme L. Taylor Witherspoon - 1939
Married Cornell Witherspoon in 1941. After her husband's military tour, she moved to Stockton, California. She was employed with Federal Civil Service at Sharpe Army Depot in Lathrop, California where she worked for 27 years before her disability retirement. She was the mother of three daughters: Joan Lynette (deceased), Marsha Lynn and Leslie Inez. She is a member of Second Baptist Church in Stockton, California.
