Juliet was honored as a member of El Paso Women's Hall of Fame. Served on Board of Mc Call Center in El Paso, TX.

March is Women's History Month. I respect work of Juliet in El Paso community.

Juliet spent many years serving El Pasoans at El Paso Community College.

Barbara Jean Lee - Congresswoman

Photograph: Barbara Lee speaking at the McCall Center in El Paso, Texas. Barbara Jean Lee was born on July 16, 1946, in El Paso, Texas. She had lived here until 1960 when she moved to Los Angeles, California. In California she attended Fernando High School, graduated from Mills College, and received her Masters in Social Work at the University of California, Berkley in 1975. During her time in school she did many notable things such as being the president of the Mills College Black Student Union, and serving as Shirley Chisholm's delegate during her presidential campaign in 1972. In 1998 Congresswoman Barbara Lee was elected to serve California's 9th congressional district (now the 13th). Lee received national attention when she was the only member of congress to vote against the Authorization for Use of Military Force Against Terrorists (AUMF) following the September 11th terrorist attacks. Today she serves on the Budget Committee and the powerful Appropriations Committee, which oversees all the federal government spending. https://lee.house.gov/about/biography https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barbara_Lee
